Having worked for the Boys and Girls Club in Oregon when I was in high school, I knew I needed to apply for this project when it was opened up for submissions. I was stoked to be chosen to create this mural for the community of Carlsbad. This mural had to contain elements of the B&GC's history including their sports, local environment, wood working classes and other elements relative to what they offer the kids in the community. I think this piece turned out really well and I'm so proud that it will be on that wall for years to come and hopefully it will inspire kids to become artists as well! Big thanks to my father, Morris Walker for helping me paint and my mother, Lynn Walker for shooting pics!
