Meet Skye Walker
Skye Walker has done everything from work in the action sports industry as a designer and art director to painting large mural installations for brands such as Whole Foods and Sierra Nevada Brewing. But his art and design are always rooted in and connected to our environment. Each mural he paints has a connection to Mother Nature in the hopes that the viewer will remember that earth is our home and we can be inspired by it… but we must also protect it.
Sea to Sea Mural Tour
In 2017 Skye built out a Sprinter van with the help of Noble Campers and Woods Offroad to do a year and half long mural tour across the United States. On June 3rd, 2018, Skye set out on the tour and left his home in Encintas, CA to travel, meet new friends and paint murals in communities across the land. He eneded up painting 30 murals in 29 states and had an incredible experience enjoying the environments, people and the love of sharing public art in a variety of towns and cities from coast to coast.
MIssion statement
My mission is to create art that resonates with my deep love for Mother Earth. Painting murals on a large scale is my absolute favorite way to express myself. By bringing art to a public space we create conversations in a community about art, people, environments and connection. It can also bring a sense of pride to a community and hopefully lifts people up. My aspirations and deep personal satisfaction are attained through a conscientious and successful application of my work. Striving to be the best I can be and growing in my craft with every mural I conceive and execute. If it's possible for me to lift up a neighborhood with my work and potentially inspire others to pursue their dreams of becoming an artist… then my job is complete.
